About MEIZAN

The following terms set forth the conditions under which MEIZAN provides access to its services.

Introduction

By using MEIZAN (including meizankiln.jp and its related sites, services, and tools), you agree to the following terms with MEIZAN, as well as the general principles that apply to our subsidiaries and international affiliates.

Article 1 (Scope of this Agreement)

Before becoming a member of MEIZAN, you must read and accept all provisions of these Terms of Service and the MEIZAN Privacy Policy. We strongly recommend reviewing any related information as well. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that both this Agreement and the Privacy Policy apply whenever you use MEIZAN sites or services, or when you use the tools we provide to interact with MEIZAN.

Article 2 (Use of the Site)

When using MEIZAN’s sites, services, and tools, you agree not to:

  • Provide false personal information, or create an account for another person without their permission.

  • Post content or engage in conduct that infringes on the rights of others or violates applicable laws.

  • Use our services if you are unable to form legally binding contracts, are under 18 years of age, or are suspended from using our services. (If under 18, use is permitted only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.)

  • Share your password, allow others to access your account, or take any action that compromises account security.

  • Transfer your MEIZAN account or user ID to another party without our consent.

  • Distribute or post spam, unsolicited communications, chain letters, or pyramid schemes.

  • Distribute viruses or technologies that may harm MEIZAN or other users.

  • Copy, modify, or distribute rights or content from MEIZAN sites, services, or tools without authorization, or infringe upon MEIZAN’s copyrights or trademarks.

  • Collect user information, including email addresses, without consent.

  • Use MEIZAN’s copyrights, trademarks, or logos (including confusingly similar marks) without written permission.

  • Post anyone’s identification documents or sensitive financial information.

Article 3 (Buyers)

For international transactions on the MEIZAN website, buyers must register and use credit card or PayPal as the payment method. By using PayPal services, you agree to comply with all applicable PayPal rules and regulations. Please review the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy before creating an account.

Article 4 (Suspension of Services)

MEIZAN and its community work together to maintain a safe platform. Please report any problematic content or policy violations. Without limiting other remedies, we may limit, suspend, or terminate services and accounts, restrict access, remove content, or take legal and technical steps if we believe users are creating problems, legal liabilities, infringing intellectual property rights, or otherwise acting inconsistently with our policies.

We may also cancel unconfirmed accounts, remove accounts inactive for an extended period, or modify or discontinue services at any time.

Article 5 (Buyer Protection)

If purchase problems occur, buyers are strongly encouraged to contact us first. Buyers also agree to follow the requirements of the PayPal Buyer Protection Policy with respect to claims and refunds, and, in the case of credit card payments, to comply with the policies of the respective credit card companies.

Article 6 (Fees and Services)

Joining MEIZAN and browsing listed products is free. Some additional services may be subject to fees. Paid services will take effect only after we provide at least 14 days’ notice by posting the changes on the MEIZAN site.

Article 7 (Content)

When you submit content to us, you grant MEIZAN a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use any copyright, trademark, publicity, and database rights you hold in the content, in any media now known or developed in the future.

While we strive to provide reliable information, we cannot guarantee that all data is accurate or up to date. You agree not to remove any copyright, proprietary, or identification markings included with such data.

Article 8 (International Shipping)

Ownership and risk of loss for products transfer from MEIZAN to the user once the order is shipped. Users are responsible for checking delivery status. After shipment, changes or cancellations cannot be accepted except in cases of defective or misdelivered items.

Delivery times vary depending on the postal service, customs clearance, natural disasters, or other factors. MEIZAN does not guarantee delivery times.

Depending on the destination country or region, government authorities or local carriers may impose customs duties, VAT, or clearance fees, which must be paid by the recipient upon delivery.

MEIZAN does not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for items lost or damaged during customs inspection. To support claims for damaged or defective products, please retain all packaging materials for inspection by the carrier. Users must notify MEIZAN within 4 days of receipt.

In some cases, depending on the country or chosen shipping method, items may be delivered to a local carrier office or customs office rather than the recipient’s address. The recipient is responsible for collecting the shipment. If no notice is received by the expected delivery date, please contact the local carrier or customs office with the tracking number.

If a package is returned to MEIZAN, the user is responsible for reshipping costs. Reshipment will be handled by a carrier designated by MEIZAN, and fees will be charged based on the carrier’s rates.

Article 9 (Intellectual Property Rights)

All intellectual property rights for product images, texts, logos, and other content displayed on this site belong to MEIZAN or their rightful owners. Unauthorized use (including copying, modification, or reproduction) is prohibited.

Article 10 (Disclaimer)

MEIZAN is not responsible for the content, actions, or omissions of other users or third parties. Our site serves as a platform to facilitate global e-commerce, allowing users to purchase products in a variety of formats.

Except as required by law, MEIZAN is not responsible for chargebacks, returns, or refunds. We cannot guarantee continuous, error-free, or secure access to our sites, services, or tools, and operations may be affected by factors beyond our control.

To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, terms, and conditions. MEIZAN shall not be liable for any monetary loss, loss of goodwill or reputation, or any special, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of our sites, services, or tools.

Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Shiga District Court in Japan.

Article 12 (Amendments)

MEIZAN reserves the right to modify these Terms without obtaining user consent. Modified Terms will become effective and apply from the time of change.
